Acting as an Agent for Trafford Council
Trafford Council and Trafford Leisure CIC have agreed to change to an agency model of delivery, whereby Trafford Leisure CIC act as an agent of Trafford Council in delivering leisure services. This is in response to changes from HMRC in late 2023 regarding the VAT status of sport and leisure services provided by local authorities.
There will be no visible change in the way that Trafford Leisure will be operating however you will start to see the Trafford Council logo on some of our signage and marketing materials to indicate the new agent relationship. We will continue to manage your membership on behalf of Trafford Council.
Please be assured that there will not be any changes to the prices across Trafford Leisure operated centres because of adopting an agency model of delivery.
No, you will not need to contact Trafford Council, please continue to contact Trafford Leisure for all membership enquiries and any other leisure centre facility enquiries through our customer hub, available email addresses are on our website.
There will not be anything additional in terms of our services at our sites. However this change will mean we’re operating in the most financially effective way and this will benefit the Council in supporting leisure provisions. Trafford Leisure will always continue to work hard in the background with Trafford Council to review the services and benefits for our members to provide even greater value through the centres. These improvements are designed to enhance your overall experience. Please download the Trafford Leisure app or follow us on our social media platforms for the latest updates.
No, there is no action required from our customers. Just continue to enjoy getting active.
We will continue to store and process your data in line with GDPR regulations and on behalf of Trafford Council.
