The development of the new centre is well underway, including a state-of-the-art Health and Wellbeing Spa, a 25m swimming pool, 20m learner pool and a state-of-the-art gym and wellness space. The role:  In this role of Gym Instructor, you will be responsible for:
  • Meeting and greeting customers, actively engaging and promoting health and fitness, and building rapport.
  • Working closely with club members, including inducting them on how to use gym equipment.
  • Providing detailed and achievable programmes for club clientele.
  • Actively selling club memberships.
  • Completing regular maintenance checks and cleaning.
  • Teaching and covering classes.
  • Preparing activity areas and equipment to meet programme needs.
  • Ensuring equipment meets first-class safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Listening and responding to customers’ requests.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to both customers and staff, ensuring a top-tier customer experience. Your key responsibility will be to create a positive and lasting first impression for every customer who visits the centre, providing a safe and professional environment while they use our fitness services and products. By doing so, you will play a vital role in maintaining the Centre’s reputation for excellence and contributing to its growth and ongoing success. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification. Working Hours: To be discussed at interview stage, this role will involve some evenings and weekends on a rota basis so you will always know what shifts you are doing in advance. The Role: This is an ideal first step into the creative and marketing industry for a talented junior designer or recent graduate. You’ll join our small and ambitious marketing team, helping to bring the move brand to life through design and content. You’ll get stuck into designing social media graphics, supporting campaigns, photography, creating video content and even developing signage or branded merchandise.   • Video Editing: Edit short-form video content from mobile or GoPro footage (we’ll show you how).
  • Events & Campaigns: Support the delivery of campaign visuals, from concept sketches to final rollouts.
  • Photography: Regularly attend sites to support photography or behind-the-scenes content creation.
  • Learning & Development: Work closely with our Marketing Manager to learn, grow and develop your creative career.
About You Essential:
  • A degree or qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or similar
  • A portfolio that shows your design flair (uni projects welcome!)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Willingness to learn and try new things – from video editing to creating for social
  • Good eye for layout, typography and colour. Specifically using and enhancing the move and Trafford Leisure brands.
  • Passion for creating work that helps people move, thrive, and feel better
Desirable:
  • Familiar with basic animation tools

The Role: We are seeking a graduate CEO Support professional to assist, develop, and grow alongside our Chief Executive. This is not a traditional PA role. While some day-to-day administrative tasks are involved, the successful candidate will also engage directly with partners and stakeholders, and support the CEO in areas such as strategy, governance, projects, and campaigns. This is a two-year opportunity, with an ideal commitment from the successful candidate to stay and grow with us over this period. The role includes four days per week directly supporting the CEO, and one day per week rotating through different departments across the business. This will also include gaining valuable hands-on operational management experience within one of our leisure centres. The ideal candidate will be:

Our History and Vision

Trafford Leisure CIC was established in 2015 when the local authority, Trafford Council, engaged us to provide leisure services and recreational activities at the Council leisure centres and golf facilities. We are the largest operator of sport and leisure facilities in Trafford with a bold vision to Inspire and create opportunities for the people of Trafford to move more and live longer, healthier, happier lives we want to help reduce health inequalities across the Trafford and Greater Manchester area, in a sustainable way, to inspire people to move more every day.

This is a pivotal point in our evolution as Trafford Council invest millions of pounds in the 5 main indoor leisure facilities in Trafford over the coming years. The ambitious investment program will see the portfolio of centres transformed into fit for purpose, accessible, inspiring spaces under a new brand of “move” for future generations to come. Trafford Leisure works collaboratively with Trafford Council for the benefit of all Trafford residents.  As well as operating and managing the leisure centres, golf course/driving range and 128 football pitches, Trafford Leisure supports the delivery of the Trafford Council’s Trafford Moving Strategy, with a particular focus on older adults over the age of 75, BAME communities, women and girls and residents from areas of deprivation and/or with long term conditions and disabilities to reduce inactivity.

As we embark on this exciting chapter, we are seeking to strengthen our current Non-Executive Director (NED) Board with appointments of well-connected and highly motivated individuals who are passionate about making a difference through sport and physical activity in Trafford. These individual’s will play a key role in leading our organisation through a transformative, multi-million-pound leisure investment programme.

About the Role:

We are looking for four new Non-Executive Director’s to:

  • Support the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams in delivering impactful outcomes for our community.
  • Contribute to the governance of the organisation, ensuring that we operate effectively, efficiently, and in line with our values and purpose.
  • Leverage your experience and skills, especially in a senior role, to help grow our business and empower the team. We are specifically looking for individuals with expertise in the following areas although we would welcome applications irrespective of these specific skills areas;
    • Property & Asset management
    • Digital
    • Sales & marketing
    • Coaching Programming and/or commercial

About You:

We are looking for an independent, strategic thinker with a passion for our mission. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A genuine passion for Trafford Leisure’s vision and a deep understanding of good governance.
  • Significant senior leadership experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Integrity, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach to achieving results.
  • Previous experience of board-level decision-making and navigating complex environments.
  • The ability to embrace a voluntary role fully and support the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams in achieving the organisation's goals.

The Commitment of a NED: 

Whilst this role is voluntary, it is essential that you commit fully and bring a genuine desire to be involved in empowering the leaders to execute their roles effectively. We anticipate that the role of a NED requires an estimated amount of commitment of around two to three hours per month for the following.

  • Quarterly Board Meetings
  • Attend your Annual Performance Reviews of Directors
  • Development Days (two half days per year)
  • Ad Hoc Events

Remuneration

As a Non-Executive Director, you will receive a complimentary membership to all Trafford Leisure facilities, saving up to £450 per year.
