We’re currently recruiting Leisure Attendants / Lifeguards across our Leisure Centres in Altrincham, Urmston, Stretford, and Sale. The best part? We’ll cover the cost of your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification!
Hourly Rate: Once qualified, you’ll earn £12.20 per hour. As a National Living Wage employer, this is due to increase later in 2025.
Hours: 36.25 hours per week (full-time)
Shifts include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. The earliest shift starts at 6am, and the latest finishes at 10:15pm

What the Lifeguard role involves:
- Ensure the safety of our swimming customers by providing lifeguard support.
- Meet and greet customers, checking them into the centre for activities.
- Prepare activity areas and equipment to meet the day’s programme needs.
- Maintain the centre’s hygiene and cleanliness standards.
What are we looking for?
- Must be a competent swimmer who is able to swim 50 metres within 60 seconds.
- Good communication skills.
- Must enjoy working as part of a team.
There are several NPLQ courses scheduled to run in April. You would usually need to be available for a week of training at one of our centres. This will be discussed further at interview stage.
